Job Title :- Kubernetes Engineer

  1. Kubernetes Production Experience
  • 5 7 years of hands-on experience deploying and maintaining workloads in production Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including nodes, pods, deployments, services, and ingress.
  • Ability to debug and tune real-world Kubernetes workloads, not just side projects or sandbox clusters.
  1. Golang Programming
  • Proficient in Go (Golang), especially in the context of Kubernetes development.
  • Experience writing Kubernetes-native components, including:
    • Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
    • Custom Controllers/Operators
    • Mutating/Validating Admission Webhooks
  1. Kubernetes Resource Optimization & Scaling
  • Deep knowledge of Horizontal Pod Autoscalers (HPAs), Vertical Pod Autoscalers (VPAs), and Cluster Autoscalers.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes metrics (e.g., Prometheus, Metrics Server) and using them for resource optimization.
  • Experience developing or working with resource recommender systems or cost optimization engines.
  1. Kubernetes Scheduling and Control Plane Concepts
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes scheduling mechanisms, including:
    • Taints and Tolerations
    • Affinity/Anti-affinity
    • Pod priorities and preemption
  • Understanding how to influence scheduling decisions for optimal workload placement.
  1. CI/CD and Deployment Strategies for Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines that deploy to Kubernetes (e.g., using Helm, Kustomize).
  • Experience improving visibility into real-world consumption and dynamically adjusting resource configurations.
  • Understanding of limitations in CI/CD resource tuning and strategies to overcome them using automated tools.
